The scent of grass, pine and lime trees, inviting benches and sky open to the horizon are the setting of the dilapidated central building, best known by the name of “CHALET”.
Built on the remains of the church of Saint Elizabeth, the “chalet” represents the highest panoramic point of the village. The structure was used as a gym for the “balillas” (young fascists) during the fascist regime.
In the green space of the Park, the “ROCCA”, an ancient structure of a solid watchtower which is now in ruins, has always been a source of evocative stories. Legend tells of a dark and hidden passage where a hen could be found with her wonderful golden chicks.
